Last week, AWS announced a bunch of new features and services that are relevant to developers. Among these releases, the one that particularly caught my attention is the support for WhatsApp in AWS End User Messaging, allowing developers to reach users on WhatsApp with multimedia and interactive messaging options. This feature comes as a valuable addition to AWS End User Messaging, which already supports SMS and push notifications.
I was also impressed by the launch of Console to Code, which makes it easier to move from prototyping in the AWS Management Console to building code for production deployments. This feature allows developers to generate code for their console actions in their preferred format with a single click.
Finally, I believe that the launch of Amazon MemoryDB for Valkey is an important step towards providing more options for developers looking for a fully managed, Valkey- and Redis OSS-compatible database service. MemoryDB for Valkey offers high performance and reliability, making it an ideal choice for use cases such as caching, leaderboards, and session stores.
