Amazon Web Services (AWS) announced the general availability of Amazon EKS Hybrid Nodes, a new feature that allows you to attach your on-premises and edge infrastructure as nodes to EKS clusters in the cloud. With Amazon EKS Hybrid Nodes, you can unify Kubernetes management across cloud and on-premises environments, leveraging the scale and availability of Amazon EKS wherever your applications need to run. This allows you to utilize existing on-premises hardware while offloading the management of Kubernetes control planes to EKS, freeing up on-premises capacity for your workloads. Amazon EKS Hybrid Nodes enables consistent operational practices and tooling across both cloud and on-premises environments.
