Google Cloud has announced enhancements to Google Cloud Marketplace private offers, unlocking enterprise and AI use cases. These enhancements focus on providing flexibility and payment choices for enterprises, especially when purchasing generative AI solutions.
One of the key developments is the introduction of "provisioned throughput," a fixed-cost subscription service that reserves throughput for supported generative AI models on Vertex AI. This offers customers the flexibility to transact and use any model from a partner-specified model family based on the capacity purchased, making it especially suitable for applications that require consistently high throughput, such as chatbots and customer agents.
Furthermore, enterprises can now benefit from "multiple orders" for Google Cloud Marketplace private offers. This allows different business units within an enterprise to have different subscriptions and payment schedules based on their cost center's needs. This is particularly useful for large enterprises with various departments, subsidiaries, or international branches that require customized subscription plans for the same technology solution.
Additionally, Google Cloud Marketplace now offers increased flexibility in payment management through "upfront payments" and "extended contract lengths." Customers can now make upfront payments for up to five years for critical technology solutions and benefit from contract lengths of up to 7 years.
These enhancements demonstrate Google Cloud's commitment to providing enterprises with the flexibility and payment options they need to adopt Google Cloud solutions, including innovative AI technologies, in a way that meets their unique requirements.
